Digital Camera choice

We've been selecting a digital camera. We've narrowed it down to

Canon IXUS400
Canon A80

Both are small, 4 Mega-Pixel cameras, with pretty similar features. The IXUS is very neat and small, whilst the A80 allows extended battery life and the ability to swap batteries. Which one should we go for?
